A little about the Massage Artist

Hi!

I'm Paul Freedom

I use an artistic approach to massage therapy. Since 2014, I have devoted my time to learning multiple massage modalities and over the years I have gained a high level of knowledge when it comes to pain relief and increasing range of motion. Using these techniques I have developed a style called “muscle tracing” in which I literally trace over and massage each muscle of the body. This process, on a basic level, involves feeling the texture of each individual muscle, looking for inconsistencies and dysfunctions in the soft tissues and then applying massage techniques to encourage proper muscle conditions. Exploring the body from head to toe in a very detail-oriented style that brings relief to aches and pains. Each session is unique, tailored to each individual and what their current body state is.

I have worked with clients in all types of professions from acrobats and performers to scientist and CEOs. What I find common in for all of them is that they all put stress on the body. The more stress we are under and the longer we hold onto it, the more compromised our natural healing systems become. Basically, when we are stressed our bodies are less able to repair and heal.

With this in mind, I have combined traditional relaxing massage techniques with corrective orthopedic massage modalities, added in advanced knowledge of soft tissue manipulation with intuition, and energy balancing and voila! A style of bodywork that helps the body to relax while getting to the deep stubborn muscles that are holding tension and causing pain, discomfort, and loss of range of motion presented in a nurturing massage that is tailored to you.

I look forward to helping you live pain-free.

In addition to my massage therapy practice, I also enjoy an active lifestyle. In my youth I played many sports, soccer, baseball, and football, though my favorite was wrestling. Though a little less aggressive in nature, I have always enjoyed tennis, golf, racket ball, and surfing. I also enjoy very active hobbies from skateboarding to mountain climbing. As an adult, I have continued to pursue an active and adventurous lifestyle and I have begun traveling the world to seek out new adventures and most recently added SCUBA diving to the list of activities.

Because of this, I can relate to many of the activities that my clients engage in and have a better understanding of how these activities effect their bodies and their daily lives.
